QRP operation is considered using power levels of 5 watts or less CW and 10 watts or less SSB.

I like weak signals

QRP Field Day Station

I will operate QRP this Field Day along side our local radio group at a common site. The goal is to introduce QRP to the other operators and visitors. The simplicity has its own appeal.
However, QRP during Field Day is not for the faint of heart. Contacts will be slow, and far between. Good practice has been to only work the super strong stations that you hear. Average and weaker signals will hear others over your calls. Also, new and less experienced operators will always work the strong stations...(which a QRP signal is not!)

station equipment planned:

FT817ND
LNR EFT end fed antenna 10/20/40m
solar panel/gel cell battery
paper logging

no connection to site generator power
